FAQs

  • You automatically agree to these policies by scheduling, so please make sure you have read through them.

YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME HAS BEEN RESERVED FOR YOU.

If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, please call or text 929 324 0862 as soon as possible. Please note, there is a 36-hour $15 rescheduling fee that applies to cover the cost of studio rental. I adhere to a 24-hour cancellation policy. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows are charged the full price of the session booked. Please note that arriving late to your session may result in a shorter appointment so as to not penalize clients booking after you. Clients who are over 20 minutes late will be asked to reschedule their appointment and will be charged a cancellation fee.

  • Therapeutic massage will be more of how you might expect a typical massage session to be, with conventional draping to your comfort, on a traditional table, still utilizing varying techniques and completely catered to you.

Connective Tissue Massage will involve more client participation, through cueing and being asked to stand up from the table throughout the session to observe any shifting sensations or newfound experiences while receiving the work. The session will involve clients to be in their undergarments, to whatever their comfort level is, and is typically done without draping, though a blanket will always be offered during the session if wanted for temperature or comfort.

  • Clients must be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to our appointment.

Masks will be worn by client and practitioner at all times.

Hand washing will happen upon arrival, before the session work, and after the session ends, at minimum.

I will be taking a COVID-19 test every two weeks. I will encourage my clients to do the same.

We will be practicing in a space that has very low traffic. We will be the only two people in the space during our sessions.

I will leave ample time between sessions to disinfect the table and any other surfaces that may have been touched in the space.

If you refuse any of these precautions, we may not be able to work together. Additionally, if you observe me failing to meet these precautions, please let me know either in person or via email.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you are experiencing COVID symptoms, recently tested positive, or have been exposed so that we can reassess keeping our session.

  • I strive to accommodate all bodies in my practice and can make accommodations to meet your needs. My Clinton Hill studio is on a ground level, but my other studios are unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Please use the intake forms or feel free to directly contact me with any specific accessibility needs.

  • Most of my work is priced on a three tier scale. Rather than police and enforce this scale, I trust you to honestly assess your comparative financial privilege and chose the exchange level you feel is appropriate.

  • At this moment, I am only working with folks 18+ for all bodywork sessions, excluding Reiki sessions. Parental or caregiver consent may be required for folks under the age of 18 for any energy work sessions. If you are looking for a massage therapist to work with someone younger, I am happy to make a referral to some of my fellow colleagues.

  • The massage table itself has a weight capacity of 600lbs but working on a mat on the ground is always available.

  • Whatever modality we’re working with, your comfort will be prioritized throughout the session, whether that means working around your clothing or draping a sheet over your body. If you know you’d like to remain clothed during a session, make sure whatever you wear is comfortable and allows for free movement of your body.

Typically CTM sessions involve clients to be in their undergarments, but a bathing suit, loose shorts and a tank top, etc. are also fine!

Reiki sessions are done full clothed and a sheet and/or blanket is always provided for your comfort.

A blanket or sheet will always be offered during all sessions if wanted for temperature or comfort.

  • Yes! Completely normal. Trusting someone to engage in consensual bodywork can be a vulnerable experience and not one that most of us are used to. We can take a pause or stop at any moment in a session.

  • A standard partner massage lesson includes two people, contact me if you’re interested in booking as a larger poly relationship so we can make sure there is enough time in the session for everyone.
